In addition to aesthetic procedures that enhance appearance, he is dedicated to the repair and reconstruction of complex craniofacial deformities caused by congenital conditions, trauma, burns, and hemangiomas, as well as reconstruction after surgery for large body-surface tumors and repair and reconstruction of facial paralysis.

He spent two years as a visiting scholar at several plastic surgery centers in the United States. He works in the Department of Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. Based on extensive clinical practice, he independently authored a monograph on facial plastic surgery entitled Anatomic Atlas of Facial Regions: Surgical Principles and Plastic Surgery Practice.

Wang Haiping’s Views on Eye Plastic Surgery
1. According to the aponeurotic extension theory, a natural double eyelid can be created.
2. The principles of natural double eyelid formation include several elements: force, target of action, effect of action, and efficiency of action.
3. The levator aponeurosis is not the main transmitter of levator muscle force, but it plays an indispensable role in support and fixation.
4. The unsatisfactory outcome of the suture method is mainly related to failure to effectively manage the upper flap.
5. At the incision and lower flap, the muscle is preserved intact except for ROOF.
6. For double eyelid revision, pedicled muscle transfer is performed.
7. A satisfactory double eyelid should meet the following: the eyes appear expressive when open and no visible scar remains when closed.
